Feature rich

Safety remains a top priority for the Sportage. Underneath the sleek exterior is a reinforced body structure that is complimented by a wide variety of active and passive safety features and advanced driver assistance systems. All derivatives feature six airbags and Isofix child seat anchors. All models are also fitted with ABS with EBD and Electronic Stability Control as well as Hill-Start Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control and Trailer Stability Assist. A variety of Kia’s acclaimed in-house developed Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are also on offer, depending on the model.

Model range

The Sportage is available in a variety of derivatives, ensuring that there is a model that fits every need and budget. This includes LX, EX, GT-Line, GT-Line Plus and GT-Line S models.

The technical grille pulls together the main frontal features including the modern Tiger Nose grille, the distinctive futuristic-styled daylight running lamps and the matrix LED headlamps. On the side, the addition of a chrome beltline creates harmonious lines with the rear spoiler while the rear design maintains a strong road presence with a muscular, swooping fastback design that flows into the rear lamps. The Sportage is fitted with 17-inch, 18-inch or 19-inch wheels. Depending on the model.

Carefully crafted cabin

The interior features a bold character, soft qualities and innovative technology to create a state of the art driver orientated space. At the centre is a beautifully sculpted curved display with a slim touchscreen pad and finely detailed air vents. The high-tech 12.3-inch touchscreen offers driver and passenger connectivity, functionality and usability thanks to a highly intuitive, easy to use full thin-film transistor LCD that offers precise and clear graphics.

Throughout the cabin the highest quality materials have been used while an ergonomic centre console provides storage, operating system configuration, cup-holders and soft-touch switches. Despite a compact wheelbase, the efficient use of space has resulted in class-leading legroom, headroom and luggage capacity.

Frugal yet powerful engines

The Sportage is now offered exclusively with a 1.6-litre T-GDi petrol engine and a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission that features 132kW at 5 500rpm and 265Nm from 1 500rpm. This allows the Sportage to reach 100km/h in 8,8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 201km/h.
